Cabinet, millwork and molding shops buy solids and sheets together, and they want both closer to the part. Highland Lumber & Mill supplies hardwood, plywood, laminated panels and molding, and our hardwood mill and priming take work off your machines before the material reaches you.
Solids and sheets that line up
- Hardwood lumber: rift white oak, walnut, alder, soft and hard maple, basswood, poplar and red oak, plus exotics like African mahogany, teak and sapele, from 4/4 to 16/4
- Plywood and panels: domestic hardwood plywood with walnut, alder, red oak, maple, birch and rift or plain sliced white oak faces, plus Baltic birch, melamine and MDF
- Matched species: walnut, alder, red oak and rift white oak appear in both lines, so put lumber and panels on one quote and sales will confirm what lines up
Laminated panels
HPL and rolled paper and vinyl panels, laminated onto the cores we stock. Order HPL line by line: thickness, size, core, face and back.
Wholesale molding and millwork components
Our molding line covers casing, baseboard, chair rail, face frame, S4S raw and primed, MLD blanks, door components and import primed molding, for dealers, distributors and manufacturers across Southern California. Ask sales for current profiles, species and sizes.

Custom molding, raw or primed
Our hardwood mill runs any profile on the sticker/molder. Send a drawing or a sample, and we'll quote the profile in the species you need, raw or primed. Priming is a lacquer-based primer with a 220/320 sand.

Machine hours you don't have to spend
- Hardwood mill: planer S2S & S4S, straight-line ripsaw, sticker/molder for any profile, resaw and full-round dowels. See the hardwood mill.
- Priming: lacquer-based primer with a 220/320 sand, to the four-sides-visible shutter standard. See priming.
What to send
- Species, grade and thickness for solids; face, core, back and size for panels
- Finished sizes if we're milling, and profile drawings for molding
