Highland Lumber & Mill supplies hardwood plywood wholesale to OEMs, dealers and distributors in Orange County and across Southern California. We stock domestic hardwood plywood, and as direct plywood importers we also bring in import panels. Sanded and overlay plywood, melamine and MDF complete the panel line, and we laminate panels to order. Trade only: we sell to businesses, not to the public.

Domestic or import: choosing a panel program
Buyers rarely pick domestic or import in the abstract. The choice usually comes down to face quality, core construction, lead-time risk and cost stability.
Domestic plywood is in stock, and you can pull it on the same order as your hardwood lumber.
Import plywood, such as Baltic birch, meranti/luan and LVL, supports high-volume cabinetry, fixtures and similar work. As direct plywood importers, we can talk through program buys, not just spot orders.
Many buyers run a mix: domestic faces for stain-grade work and import panels for production runs. Sales can help you set substitution rules for when a face or core is tight.

Need a finished surface? We laminate the panels we stock: high pressure laminate (HPL) and rolled paper and vinyl. The HPL order form is on the lamination page.

Frequently asked questions
Do you carry Baltic birch plywood?
Yes. Baltic birch, raw and prefinished, is part of our import line. Stock levels and thicknesses change, so call for current availability before you schedule production.
Can you cut plywood to size?
Cut to size is available on our panel line. Put the cut list on your quote request.
Can you supply certification or compliance paperwork for panels?
We don't publish certification claims on this site. If your bid package calls for specific documentation, list it on your quote request and sales will tell you what Highland can provide.
What are your lead times?
Stock items and import programs are quoted case by case. Call sales with your list and needed-by date.
